Revolutionary in the culinary culture of the neighborhood -- it's not just that it's hearty, healthy food cooked with superb attention to presentation, but it's also that the ingredients are in every market in every block. The easy accessibility of what's being used in the dishes makes the experience twofold -- a fantastic evening but also something you can take with you--leftovers forever. Meghan's kindness in sharing the recipes allows you to feel that she's taking care of you even once dinner is over!
Wonderful experience - such good people and unique, wholesome, delicious food. Required for anyone in BA.
Jueves a la Mesa provides the perfect ambiance for a delightful meal, wonderful company and a gift for your body. From the moment you walk in the door and see the lights lining the walls and the classy table setting (already waiting with its first course salad), you know you're in for a treat. Meghan's a wonderful hostess, putting so much time and dedication into the event, for the sheer personal pleasure she gets from the evening without any ounce of recognition needed. She's a delight! After attending a couple of Jueves a la Mesa events, I found myself craving for them every day of the week, and when Thursday finally came around I was ecstatic! Great to go solo and meet wonderful company, to go with a friend or for birthday parties and special occasions. So treat yourself and make your way over to Jueves a la Mesa!
Dinners at Jueves a la Mesa are a great way to try some delicious, healthy food in the city of empanadas and carne and meet new people from all around the world.
In a city with few good vegetarian alternatives, Jueves a la Mesa is fantastic! I especially loved the homemade chocolate with mango for dessert, and the people and atmosphere really made the evening, very relaxed.
I´ve been enjoying Meghan Lewis´ cuisine four times - and will definitely come back for more! Living in Buenos Aires permanently, with heavy and meatbased dishes, the vegetarian food she offers - with a good touch of spices - is something I really crave ... Besides the exquisite food - well balanced, rich, spicy, creative - there´s always such a good ambience around the table, you´ll for sure have good and interesting conversations and perhaps even make new friends.

I would go every Thursday if I could! Meghan is an absolute delight and her food is delicious and healthy. Not to mention the lovely community of people who attend. Pure joy.
Great food, really enjoyable atmosphere and company. Fantastic way to enjoy healthy but delicous food and have a change from the usual Argentine fare.
This is the best event of all time!
I hope you had a great trip Megan and hope to see you soooooooooooon!
Cheers,
Brian
Excerpt: ueves a la Mesa is a weekly dinner cooked and served by US expat Meghan Lewis at her home in the San Telmo barrio of Buenos Aires. It’s a 100% vegetarian three course meal for less than the price of what you’d pay for your provoleta and steak. Each month includes 2 very special menus, each is served twice in case you miss it or are just dying to come back for more. I recently attended a Costa Rican themed dinner all I can say is: Absolutely Delicious.
Okay, actually, I can say a lot more than that.
