My First Yo Soy Event! I did not expect so many people over 50 maybe 60. It made for a lively experience and met a number of Fine folks that I hope to see again. The entire experience was awesome! From the appetizers and Indigo cocktails at the beginning. To the 3 course meal and the entertainment. I could not think of a better way to bring in Cinco de mayo! Great Job Mikey and Brian. Looking forward to my next event!

Not for everyone. Food ok. A lot of alcohol and no non-alcohol options except for water. Long night. Setting ok. Not an evening for middle aged but young at heart people who want a fun night out but not necessarily have a big drinking night.

was our first time being at a Yo Soy dinner and it will not be the last. Everything was amazing. Brian and Mikey are truly phenomenal. The musician, Sami Grisafe was mounds blowingly fierce!!! A perfect addition to the evening. The location was optimal as well. No complaints other than we didn't get to talk to Brian as much because he was busy creating a masterpiece.

This is my second time and both times, my husband and I came home raving about what a fun night we had. Bryan is an amazing cook, the food was so flavorful and interesting. One of the dishes was a Forbidden rice with beans and I have never had anything like it. He combines textures and flavors that make you savor every bite. The presentation is lovely and the service is wonderful. I don't know how they pull it off and make it look so easy. The guests are really interesting people which makes the night that much more fun. I will continue going and would definitely recommend to others.

Our first time at Yo Soy! They are stuck with us now. Excellent food, service, met some great people, setting is special, and Sami Grisafe's private concert/song performance afterward was great and created a real sense of community! Yeay!

I went to Yo Soy for the first time last Sunday. I loved it. Brain is a great cook so I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The room was lovely and the entire "el dia de los muertes" experience was meaningful to me as I recently lost my mother. I also had so much fun with the other guest. It was really an interesting group of people and I enjoyed everyone who I spent time with. Brain and Mickey are so great, I am definitely going to be a regular and plan to introduce some other friends to the experience.

I am from Texas and was visiting friends in Chicago. They had been to a dinner before and suggested we go to this one. I was blown away by the pre-dinner cocktail concoction as I usually dislike the main ingredient, grapefruit juice. It was just a taste of the tantalizing goodness that would follow. As silly as this may sound, my favorite part of the meal was the frito pie! It was AH-MAZING! That evening I was introduced to the chefs, and immediately felt welcomed and right at home. I have a few reasons for wanting to move back to Chicago, and now Yo Soy dinners is added to that list! I just hope that the next time I visit I can attend another.

This is truly an amazing and delightful experience, from beginning to end. Upon arrival guests are greeted warmly by staff and host, and presented with a delicious pre-dinner cocktail. This is a BYOB dinner, which I personally enjoy as I have the opportunity to select my favorites for pairing with the meal. The price is amazing for the level of cuisine you receive not to mention generous portion sizes. The chef's creations are inspired and delicious. He personally greets every guest and offers detail on each amazing dish! The beautiful evening closes with a wonderful live performance by a local artist. Stephen Leonard performed at the event I attended. What an amazing voice! I highly recommend Yo Soy, please do yourself a favor and sign-up for the next event!

This was our first dinner and my boyfriend and I had a blast! Mikey and Brian are the most genuine people I have met so far in the food industry. They put their heart and soul into what they do. The dinner was fantastic! I loved the gazpacho and the pollo mole. Dessert was very good! The vibe of the dinner was very inviting and relaxed.

The Longest Grito Ever was amazing! I highly recommend that people attend Yo Soy events. These underground dining experiences are truly one of a kind, a hidden gem in Chicago-I'd say. Do yourself a favor and experience Yo Soy. You will return.

Yo Soy is a great food experience that is not to be missed. I loved every minute of this supper club! I was first greeted by a charming bartender that offered me a fresh tasty summer refreshing cocktail. The hosts were so sweet and warm. Everyone felt welcomed which made for a great social setting. The food was AMAZING!!! They had a great amount of detail and adventure in each course and Brian was kind enough to explain each dish to all of us. It was an excellent taste adventure. Then, if the night could not get any richer, a wonderfully fun and talented musician performed after dinner for a fantastic finish to a great supper club evening. DO THIS!!! ;)

There really is no contest here. I'm not sure if I'm pitting one underground dinner party against another but I'm super excited for supper each time Mikey & Bri to throw it down in the kitchen.

Leave it to the gays to teach the rest of the neighborhood how to not only throw the par-tay, but BE the par-tay. If i'm being constructively critical though, I feel like the only and when I say ONLY, I mean only thing that I wish would happen (but def is not lacking) is the opportunity for a concept restaurant. This would be the coolest fucking restaurant in town... changing installations, local and seasonal menus, freakyfun staff... my imagination runs wild with this concept. They have a great thing going here.
