About yo soy supper club!
mexican meets chinese cuisine is our thing! we create a menu based on seasons as well as influences from what is happening around us, whether it be street festivals, holidays, pop art or crazy social happenings! our dinners are 5 courses with a local singer songwriter that performs after the last course. when available, we shop at different farmer's market ( green city farmer's market, logan square farmer's market, division street farmer's market and also nettlehorst french market) around chicago to source from farmer's in the area. we also have been known to throw down with a fierce game of loteria (mexican bingo) with late diners that stick around til' the after hours! the mixing in of fun with the deliciousness is what we are all about. the crowd we attract is probably the most diverse range of people you could ever meet that have a true passion for food matched with the same drive for lively dinner conversation!

Very creative and fun atmosphere. The creators put a lot of thought into the whole experience from the ambiance and entertainment to the food. The food was spot-on- delicious, fulfilling, and well-tied into the theme of the evening. It is truly a special thing to be apart of!

I had such a lovely time last noche with YoSoy! I've been talking about it with all of my patients this morning. I got there by myself, expecting to touch base and meet people... Mikey & Brian create an amazing evening of food, drinks, entertainment and fun! The September 2011 supper was no exception. The food was succulent, the pre-dinner cocktail was refreshing, the people are always friendly and the entertainment was top notch. Can't wait for the next one!

The Longest Grito Ever was amazing! I highly recommend that people attend Yo Soy events. These underground dining experiences are truly one of a kind, a hidden gem in Chicago-I'd say. Do yourself a favor and experience Yo Soy. You will return.

Yo Soy is a great food experience that is not to be missed. I loved every minute of this supper club! I was first greeted by a charming bartender that offered me a fresh tasty summer refreshing cocktail. The hosts were so sweet and warm. Everyone felt welcomed which made for a great social setting. The food was AMAZING!!! They had a great amount of detail and adventure in each course and Brian was kind enough to explain each dish to all of us. It was an excellent taste adventure. Then, if the night could not get any richer, a wonderfully fun and talented musician performed after dinner for a fantastic finish to a great supper club evening. DO THIS!!! ;)
There really is no contest here. I'm not sure if I'm pitting one underground dinner party against another but I'm super excited for supper each time Mikey & Bri to throw it down in the kitchen.
Leave it to the gays to teach the rest of the neighborhood how to not only throw the par-tay, but BE the par-tay. If i'm being constructively critical though, I feel like the only and when I say ONLY, I mean only thing that I wish would happen (but def is not lacking) is the opportunity for a concept restaurant. This would be the coolest fucking restaurant in town... changing installations, local and seasonal menus, freakyfun staff... my imagination runs wild with this concept. They have a great thing going here.
