There was such a buzz in the room--created by the charming environmnet. Josie's cocktails with herbs started everythig off. The meal was delicious--especially the pheasant dish! I can't wait for the next Methods & Madness dinner.

The food was an exquisite experience by itself; every dish was a beautifully imaginative reinvention of the experience of the perfume that was its inspiration. The overall event was simply fantastic. The wines and coffees were all delicious, interesting and paired beautifully with the food (I don't even drink coffee!), and the cocktail was delicious; the venue and the company were wonderful. Brava to the chef!

The room was glittering with candles and glassware, the wine was lovely, the food was inventive, delicious, and beautifully presented (the coffee palate cleansers were unique). The perfume and ingredient description was so interesting--paired with the food. Loved it and will go to any others.

Wow this dinner was exquisite. The guests were interesting and great conversationalist. This dinner had you using all 5 senses and the food was talked about through out the dinner. I definitely feel enlightened. One can only hope that they do another dinner soon. My favorite was the duck confit with jasmine scented wheat berries. oh and the iced coffee lemon drink for our barista Ezra made, this was an unusual and pleasant surprise(now if i only knew the recipe) .aaaand the cocktail we started with, a smokey mescal with yuzu and basil seeds paired with the mcmc scent "LOVE" which I love:) we also got that as a gift too! which I was meaning to pick up anyway. amazing.
I have been to both of the Methods and Madness dinners to date and each was an amazing, unique experience. The food alone would have made for a terrific, five-star dining experience, but these evenings were so much more. The way they were tied in to a theme and a different occupation were clever and educational (in the best sense). The communal table makes for an out-of-the-ordinary social exchange with other interesting (and arty) people. The lovely gifts we walked away with (hand-drawn books one time and gorgeous posters the next) were both reminders of an enjoyable evening and really beautiful objects in and of themselves. I'm looking forward to the next one...
Tessa is an AMAZING chef! Combined with her creativity and organization you can anticipate a well-executed, delicious night. Her inspiration for these dinners come from artists and flood her dishes with whimsy and delight. Buy tickets. Now!
