It was very relaxed and enjoyable. I felt like I was with friends. The food was amazing! Ben did an exceptional job.

I had lots of fun at the event. Food was great. Company was fun. Location was ok and will be better when the area is finished.
I only have 2 suggestions
First,the event should start on time, I have no problem eating over 4 hours but not when dinner starts about 3 hours late and second more attention should be paid to supplying water to the tables. At least I find it necessary to drink lots of water when I am drinking lots of wine (maybe that's because I'm old???)! I would definitely do another event.

There seemed to be two sets of guests at the event. Most people were there for a dinner party. They were patient, shared their wine, enjoyed mingling and meeting new people. But there was a large minority of guests who thought they were at a restaurant. They were dismissive and rude to other guests, whined about how long everything took, hoarded food and wine and just generally missed the point of the evening. I got stuck sitting across from a group of these guests, and wound up leaving after the first course because sitting across from these people was just such a drag. Guess it just goes to show that these events are as much about the guests as they are about the chef. I have attended many HDC events and loved every single one of them, in part I suppose because the guests understood the experience.

I am a gourmet and gourmand - I like good food in large quantities. Ben Walmer's Highlands Dinner Club satiates even me.

There are no other words to describe the most recent HDC event other than magical. The food was outstanding with several unique courses consisting of freshly grown produce, delicious staples, and refreshing cocktails. The setting was absolutely beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for sunset dining.

All in all, the food, the place, the gracious hosts, and the people made the evening a night that will be remembered for years to come.

I participated, celebrated, and feasted on the wonderful fare at the feast on the Adam's County farm. My decision to attend was by far the best decision I made all summer!!! Responsible local feasting, culinary artistry, and community building at its finest is what you can expect from the Highlands Dinner Club.

HDC combines the spirit of fun, exploration, local celebration, and collective enjoyment with beautifully cooked, presented, and delicious dining experiences. Ben Walmer and his crew have a passion for great food and friendship, not to mention delicious cocktails, that brings people together to share and connect in the creation of many memorable events. I'm always looking forward to the next HDC!

Benjamin's 40+ person feast at the Brooklyn Grange was an unforgettable experience. I couldn't imagine a more perfect or unique setting than dining on a one acre farm on a rooftop in Queens with beautiful Manhattan skyline views. The atmosphere was fun, laid-back and an open bar with carefully crafted cocktails made sure everybody was making new friends. Of course the food itself was a big highlight with the coffee braised lamb shoulder being my personal favorite. With constantly changing menus and locations, Highlands Dinner Club is definitely worth multiple visits!

Food always locally sourced and of the highest quality. Imagination of the architecture-trained chef knows no limit. Each event is unique save level of flavor. If you are invited, ATTEND!

Only suggestion - maybe some munchies at beginning, even if they are in place of one of the courses?

Gorgeous setting, delicious food, EXCELLENT company - met some really amazing people, and the lit/food pairing was great.

Family style is fun, but passing the plate around a 60 person table didn't work out too well. People get greedy, and if you're on the wrong end (as we unfortunately were for the lamb and the tamales) you can get shafted. I'd recommend a plate per 6 people so it gets divvied up fairly.

All in all, we loved it!!

I recently went to a Highlands Dinner Club event at the rooftop farm, Brooklyn Grange. When I bought the tickets for me and a friend, I imagined a great breeze, killer sunset, friendly vibe, good cocktails, and delicious food at a big farm table. That is exactly what we got. I would love to attend another. Not to mention that for the price of this event you would never receive the ambiance, cocktails, attention, and 6 course meal at ANY restaurant in NYC.
