5-Course "Mardi Gras" Themed Beer Pairing Dinner featuring Abita Brewing Abita

Why mess with a good thing, right? Our 2012 Beer Pairing Dinner series kicks off with a revisit with Abita Brewing Company, as we will host another Mardi Gras themed 5-course beer pairing dinner with the Louisiana brewer. The dinner will take place on Thursday February 9 in two grouped seatings: 6:30pm and 9:00pm (9pm is currently sold out).

The 5-course menu is conceived and prepared by Chef Matthew Garelick (Sous Chef at Wall and Water Restaurant, Chef Consultant at the Manchester Pub). Chef Matt started his culinary career in New Orleans while he was a student at Tulane University. Thus, the Mardi Gras theme and Abita Brewery are particularly special to Chef Matt.

We are thrilled to feature the unique brews of Abita Brewing, including the Bock and the Barley Wine. The Abita Brewing Company was founded in Abita Springs, La., in 1986 and is the oldest and largest craft brewer in the southeast. Abita is the 24th largest commercial brewer by production volume in the nation and the 15th largest craft brewer in the United States. Sales for the company should exceed 125,000 barrels this year.
